Position Available : Unix System Engineer
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and implement application systems.
- Administering a complex site alone or in a team for a larger site.
- Involve in the setup of backup/restore software as well as monitoring and job scheduling software.
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Understanding of UNIX & Linux systems, including system installation, configuration, resource monitoring, kernel tuning and process management.
- In-depth understanding of Linux network services, such as HTTP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP
- Able to write administrative scripts (Perl, RUBY or shell)
- Capable of writing documentations for various system processes, training and presenting of ideas to in-house staff.
Desirable Background and Skills
- A diploma in computer science or a related field.
- Positive attitude and passionate about technology.
- 1-2 years of LINUX system administration experience
- Ability to come up with innovative solutions for different situations
